Nagar Kirtan

The Nagar Kirtan that took place in Sudbury a few months ago was a Sikh religious procession that is traditionally organized to celebrate significant Sikh events, often in honor of Guru Granth Sahib or important Sikh festivals like Vaisakhi. These events typically involve a large gathering of the Sikh community, where they walk in a procession led by the Guru Granth Sahib (the Sikh holy scripture), which is carried on a beautifully decorated float.
